AN ACCESSIBLE FIRST STEP

Why This Half-Day
Gathering Exists

Many people would like to discover a Buddhist Temple, gain a better understanding of Original Buddhism, and begin turning their attention inward, but they do not know where to begin.

Some people hesitate to enter a Temple because they do not understand the meaning of its spaces, statues, symbols, or the gestures they observe.

Others are simply curious. They would like to understand what the Temple seeks to transmit and discover what this first encounter may also teach them about their own inner Temple, without necessarily committing to a full day right away.

This half-day gathering was created to offer them a first encounter that is simple, accessible, and guided throughout.

A Temple is not discovered through the eyes alone.

RECEIVE YOUR FIRST POINTS OF REFERENCE

Understand What You See and What the Temple Seeks to Transmit

During this morning, you will discover the meaning of certain spaces, representations, symbols, and gestures found within a Buddhist Temple.

You will also receive your first points of reference from Original Buddhism to better understand the intention behind what you observe.

This is neither a tourist visit nor a course focused solely on rules to follow.

It is a first encounter with the ZIME Teaching, transmitted by Shifu ZIME – Martine Chu in accessible language, with no prior knowledge required.

THE OUTER TEMPLE… THE INNER TEMPLE

The Outer Temple Can Also Teach Us Something About Ourselves

When we enter a Temple, we are invited to slow down, observe, and become more aware of the way we are present.

The attention we bring to the outer place can then lead us to see differently the inner Temple that each of us carries within.

What do we allow to enter within us?

What do we accumulate there, day after day?

What place do we give to calm, presence, and our Soul?

Through guided practices adapted from the ZIME Technique™, you will be invited not only to reflect on these questions, but also to begin observing and feeling what is truly taking place within you.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

ABOUT SHIFU ZIME

Discover the Temple
Through a New Perspective

For more than twenty years, Shifu ZIME – Martine Chu has followed a path of understanding Original Buddhism of Amituofo’s Western Pure Land.

For more than sixteen years, she has shared this teaching and accompanied students at Tam Bao Son Temple, helping them better understand what its representations, symbols, and sacred spaces truly seek to transmit.

During this half-day gathering, she will guide you through a first discovery of Original Buddhism, using language that is simple, engaging, and accessible.

01

Understand what it means to enter a Temple.

02

Discover the meaning of its principal representations.

03

Understand the meaning of certain gestures and symbols.

04

Discover the connection between the outer Temple and your own inner world.

Her explanations invite you to see the statues, offerings, and spaces of contemplation as more than simple decorative elements.

Each representation becomes a doorway to a deeper understanding of the human being, our inner functioning, and the path offered by Original Buddhism.

The Temple then becomes more than a place to visit. It becomes a living teaching.

Shifu ZIME helps participants discover the connection between the outer Temple and the inner Temple that each person carries within.

Entering with respect, slowing down, observing, and paying attention to our gestures become invitations to look differently at what is happening within us.

A FIRST DOORWAY TO THE ZIME TEACHING

Creator of the ZIME Teaching and the ZIME Technique™, Shifu ZIME shares a path that brings together an understanding of Original Buddhism and a concrete inner practice.

Original Buddhism
helps us understand.

The ZIME Technique™
helps bring our attention inward.

This half-day gathering does not present the ZIME Teaching in its entirety. It opens a first doorway through the discovery of Original Buddhism and guided, adapted practices drawn from the ZIME Technique™.

No belief or prior knowledge is required. Whether you are simply curious, discovering Buddhism for the first time, or have already visited a Temple, you will be guided in a respectful, structured, and accessible setting.

THE DIFFERENCE HER PRESENCE MAKES

Her presence allows you not only to visit the Temple, but also to begin understanding what its representations, symbols, and teachings can reveal about your own inner path.

You will leave with initial points of reference to see the Temple differently, better understand Original Buddhism, and continue your reflection long after this half-day gathering.
